went to multnomah falls for a father's day trip. me and the two. it was fun. smokey the bear was there and stella made a craft. Walter had a kiniption when the train went over the bridge we were under. he was very excited and oddly, like most boys is deep into trains and especially cars.

we had it commissioned and waited almost a year for it. the artist is marcial camilo ayala and he is a leader of the artistic community that paints amate paintings. His work hangs in the smithsonian museum of the american indian, among other places.

Today's entry is concerning the angst of digging through a pile of clean laundry that has been sitting on the couch for a week because the bathroom is in pieces and the drawers of the old vanity are occupying the staging area for folded laundry.

a new color
These are all the short videos I caputre with my little camera. I paid many hundreds of dollars for a nice sony handcam with the digital micro cassestes. but i find that the quality of the photo cam's movies is just as good. plus its small.
one of our best lunches yet. sitting at the bar in the upscale food court at the public market. Stella had grilled cheese and fries, rhonda had a greek platter with an interesting mousaka and I had a lovely bluecheese and bacon hamburger. the only thing lacking on it was the bun. the kids where superlative. now that walter is older, our adventures are becoming more and more fullfilling.

Partrin and her new wedding finnery. She has been telling everyone about her three bad dreams lately. very bad dreams about abandomnent and scary monsters. dealing with those are a trick. you don't want to pay them too much heed or they begin to think that there may indeed be something to be scared of, but you don't want to ignore them and teach the kid that what they are scared of doesn't matter.

an email i got at work today
Walter had a totally disgusting black liquid pint of poop today. I will
need your help cleaning the carpet where it came out of his pants. He is
sleeping now but didn't eat or drink anything for breakfast. Poor guy.
